Legal notices

Effective date:27 September 2026

This page sets out who operates Gevox, who owns the material on it, and the terms on which that material may be used. Read it together with the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

1. Operator

Gevox is operated by Suryansh Sagar, trading as Gevox. Its registered address is 3/200 Rakshapuram, Mawana Road, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, 250001. Notices under this page, including notices of infringement, should be sent to grievance@gevox.in.

2. Copyright

© 2026 Suryansh Sagar, trading as Gevox. All rights reserved.

The Gevox software and its source code, the interface and visual design, the text of this website, the graphics, the templates behind every report, notice and register the platform generates, the definitions of the scanner's checks, and the selection, arrangement and commentary of the DPDP reference are original works. Copyright in them subsists under the Copyright Act, 1957, which confers it on creation without any requirement of registration.

No copyright is claimed in the text of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, or any other government publication reproduced on Gevox. That text is reproduced for information, together with our own commentary, as the Copyright Act, 1957 permits.

3. Trade marks

Gevox™ and the Gevox logo are trade marks of Suryansh Sagar, trading as Gevox. Rights in them arise from their use in the course of trade. They may not be used in a product or company name, a domain name, search advertising, or in any way that suggests a connection with, or endorsement by, Gevox, without written permission. A professional who uses Gevox may say so, accurately, in describing their own services.

Other names and marks mentioned on Gevox, including those of payment, hosting and infrastructure providers, belong to their respective owners. Their mention does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

4. Licence to use Gevox

Subject to the Terms of Service and to payment of any applicable fees, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to use Gevox for your own organisation or in delivering services to your own clients. No other right is granted, by implication or otherwise. You may not:

  • copy, modify or create derivative works of the software, or any part of it;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent the law expressly permits despite this restriction;
  • resell, rent, lease or provide Gevox to others as a service, other than in delivering your own client engagements;
  • scrape, crawl or systematically extract the DPDP reference, scanner results or other content, or use it to train machine learning models;
  • run scans or other operations by automated means beyond ordinary use of the product;
  • remove or alter any copyright, trade mark or attribution notice, including the Gevox line at the foot of each page of a downloaded document;
  • use Gevox to build or improve a competing product; or
  • test, probe or scan Gevox for vulnerabilities without prior written permission.

5. Your material and your documents

Information you enter into Gevox remains yours, and personal data of your clients is processed only on your instructions, as the Data Processing Agreement sets out. You may use, copy, adapt and deliver the documents, reports and registers Gevox generates for you, including under your own name where your plan provides for it. Copyright in the underlying templates and drafting remains with Suryansh Sagar, trading as Gevox; the licence extends to each document produced for you, not to the template library itself.

6. Quoting the DPDP reference and scanner

Short passages may be quoted with attribution to Gevox and a link to the page quoted. Reproducing substantial parts, republishing the reference or scanner output as a collection, or using it as training data requires written permission.

7. Open-source software

Gevox is built with open-source software used under the licences of its authors, among them the MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD, ISC, Mozilla Public 2.0 and SIL Open Font licences. Those licences govern those components, and nothing on this page limits the rights they give you. The full list, with versions and licences, is at Open-source software.

8. Independence

Gevox is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, certified or approved by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the Data Protection Board of India, or any other government body. References to the Act, the Rules and the Board are for information. Gevox does not provide legal advice, and its output does not establish that any organisation is compliant.

9. Reporting infringement

If you believe that material on Gevox infringes your copyright or trade mark, write to grievance@gevox.in with:

  • your name, address and contact details;
  • the work or mark you say is infringed, and the basis of your right in it;
  • the address of each page where the material appears;
  • a statement that the notice is made in good faith and is accurate; and
  • your signature, which may be electronic.

Valid notices are acknowledged and acted on, which may include removing or disabling access to the material. The same address receives reports of anyone misusing the Gevox name, logo or content.

10. Governing law

These notices are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

11. Changes

These notices may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when they last changed.
