Terms of Service

EFFECTIVE DATE: 16 June 2026

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Suryansh Sagar, trading as Gevox. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using Gevox, you agree to them.

1. Agreement and eligibility

Gevox is operated by Suryansh Sagar, trading as Gevox, registered at 3/200 Rakshapuram, Mawana Road, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, [250001] ("we", "us", "Gevox"). By signing up for or using the platform, you ("you", "the user") confirm that you are at least 18 years old and, where you use Gevox on behalf of a business, that you are authorised to accept these terms for that business. If you do not agree, please do not use Gevox.

2. What Gevox is

Gevox is a software platform that helps Indian businesses and professionals work towards compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). It provides tools such as website compliance scans, AI-assisted generation of policies and notices, records of processing, breach and rights-request workflows, and an evidence vault. Gevox is a tool that supports your compliance work; it does not perform your legal obligations for you.

3. Gevox is not a law firm

Important. Gevox is not a law firm and is not a substitute for a qualified advocate. The documents, scores, scan results and other outputs Gevox produces — including those generated by Gevox AI — are informational tools to assist your compliance efforts. They do not constitute legal advice, and using Gevox does not create an advocate-client relationship. Before you rely on any generated document or take a step with legal consequences, you should have it reviewed by a qualified professional. You remain responsible for your own compliance.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to give accurate information at sign-up and to keep it up to date. Tell us promptly at grievance@gevox.in if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

5. Acceptable use

When using Gevox, you agree that you will not:

• use the platform for any unlawful purpose, or to process personal data you have no lawful basis to process;

• upload data about other people unless you are entitled to do so and have any consent the law requires;

• attempt to break, probe, or bypass our security, access other users' data, or disrupt the service;

• copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or create a competing product from the platform; or

• misuse the AI features to generate unlawful, misleading, or harmful content.

6. Your data and our two roles

How we handle personal data is explained in full in our Privacy Policy. In summary, Gevox plays two roles, and this section is the contract that governs the second:

(a) Data Fiduciary — for your own account data, we decide why and how it is processed, as described in the Privacy Policy.

(b) Data Processor — when you enter personal data about other people into the tools (for example, individuals affected by a breach, or a customer who has made a rights request), you are the Data Fiduciary for that data and we process it only as your Processor. As your Processor under Section 8(2) of the DPDP Act, we agree that we will: process that data only to provide the service and on your instructions; keep it confidential; apply reasonable security safeguards under Section 8(4); assist you, so far as the platform allows, with your breach-notification duties (Section 8(6)) and with data-principal rights requests (Sections 11 to 14); use only the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy; and, on closure of your account, delete that data within 30 days except where the law requires us to keep it. You confirm that you have a lawful basis for the data you put into Gevox, and you remain its Data Fiduciary throughout. The full terms on which we act as your Processor are set out in our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Gevox platform, its software, design, and brand are owned by Suryansh Sagar, trading as Gevox. The documents and records you generate for your own compliance use are yours to use for that purpose. You may not use our name or brand without our written permission.

8. Plans, fees and payment

Some features require a paid subscription. The price, billing cycle, taxes, and any refund terms for your plan are shown to you at the point of purchase and form part of these terms when you subscribe. Payments are processed by our payment partner; we do not store your full card details. If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, we may suspend access to paid features.

9. Availability and disclaimers

We work hard to keep Gevox available and accurate, but the platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and — because compliance depends on your own facts and decisions — we do not guarantee that using Gevox will, by itself, make you compliant with the DPDP Act or protect you from regulatory action. Gevox is a tool to help you; the responsibility for compliance remains yours.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Gevox is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your misuse of the platform, your breach of these terms, or your processing of personal data through Gevox without a lawful basis.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Gevox and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms or use the platform unlawfully. On termination, your right to use the platform ends, and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy — deleting it within 30 days unless the law requires us to retain specific records.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Gevox after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute relating to them or to your use of Gevox will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India.
